Cecilia Arnau Torán

Born in Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain, in 2009. Since 2022, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Telefónica Violin Chair with professor Zakhar Bron. She has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.

Coming from a family of musicians, she began her studies with her father at the age of three and continued them with Gjorgi Dimcevski. She studied at the Mislata Music Centre and at Valencia’s Professional Music Conservatory. She has attended training courses and masterclasses by professors such as Yuri Vulgui and Akiko Ono.

She won the First National Music Excellence Competition, sponsored by Lexus Spain, which enabled her to debut as soloist at the Casa de América in Madrid with the Teatro Real Orchestra, conducted by Inma Shara.. In 2019 she was awarded third prize at the Josefa Micka International Violin Competition and at the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition, being finalist in 2021 at the Ysaye International Music Competition and winner of the second prize at the Kreutzer International Music Competition.
